Requirements for DUAL CITIZENSHIP

Pursuant to R.A. 9225, natural-born citizens of the Philippines who have become citizens of another country through naturalization, shall be deemed not to have lost their Philippine citizenship. They shall retain or reacquire their Philippine citizenship upon taking the Oath of Allegiance to the Philippines.

Under this Act, unmarried children below eighteen (18) years of age, of those who retain /reacquire Philippine citizenship, may also acquire Philippine citizenship provided they are included in the original petition of their parents.

Requirements:

1. Personal appearance to take the Oath of Allegiance before a consular officer
2. A Petition under Oath, duly accomplished and signed, form available at the Embassy. (3 originals)
3. The applicant’s original PSA (former NSO)- issued Birth Certificate and 2 photocopies
4. Marriage Certificate from PSA, if married.
5. Nine (9) passport-sized photographs, front view, white background.
6. Three (3) photocopies of data page of Philippine and foreign passports.
7. Three (3) photocopies of Foreign National I.D. with English translation (if foreign passport is not available).
8. Three (3) photocopies of Certificate of Egyptian Citizenship with English translations (or equivalent certificate if applicant is a citizen of another country)
9. For the Petitioner´s minor child/children who will derive citizenship from the Filipino parent, filing of ROB is required to be filed simultaneously. (3 passport size pictures are also required)

Principal applicant - USD 50.00
Dependent child - USD 25.00 each
